Christine: An MS Warrior's Journey In this episode of the podcast, we are joined by a special guest who will take us on the journey of an MS warrior. Our guest was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on February 28th, 2022, after six months of excessive testing. She describes the moment as everything started to spin and feeling numb and confused. However, she had to make a crucial decision within 48 hours of her diagnosis, whether to continue with her IVF treatment or not. She decided to go ahead and transferred the embryo on March 4th, which turned out to be one of her easiest pregnancies and a true life-saver.
Throughout 2022, our guest struggled with depression and anxiety, but on Christmas day, she made a decision to start dealing with her MS and raise awareness about the condition. She realized there was a significant need to spread awareness about Multiple Sclerosis since it is not a "mainstream" disease, and people need to know more about it. She shares how she became a Beachbody coach, using her experience and knowledge to spread positivity, motivation, and fitness/wellness.
Our guest also gives a shoutout to Team Meat Fight for coming to her rescue when she signed up for Bike MS and realized she only had a stationary bike. Through Meat Fight, she was able to meet amazing people and get a brand new bike, which she admits to shedding a tear while riding it for the first time. She is ready and terrified for her very first Bike MS on June 24th and 25th, but her determination to keep moving every day and not let MS win is stronger than ever.
Join us on this inspiring and informative journey of an MS warrior, as we learn more about Multiple Sclerosis, the challenges it poses, and how one can live positively with the condition.
